A Seal Stellendam is a seal shelter where rescued seals are taken care of. These are mainly young seals and seals that are injured or ill. When the seals are completely healthy and are able to survive in nature, they are released.

But A Seal is more than just a seal shelter!

At A Seal we tell you everything about the habitat of the seals. Our center is located directly on the Haringvliet and next to the Haringvliet locks. We regularly have changing exhibitions with the theme nature and environment.

For schools we have developed an educational curriculum and we give guest lessons.

DIRECTIONS:
On the N57 take the exit Stellendam havens (port) and Haringvlietsluizen (the Haringvliet locks). Keep following the signs of the Haringvlietsluizen and you automatically arrive at A Seal.

Disabled people
Our visitor center and the outdoor areas are accessible to disabled people. There are dedicated parking places close to the entrance and in the restaurant you can use the disabled toilet.

Dogs
Due to hygiene and risk of infection it is not allowed to bring dogs to A Seal. This also applies to assistance and guide dogs. Dogs can get very sick from the seals and vice versa and we want to avoid that.
