A Seal Stellendam is a seal rescue center where seals are taken care of. These are mainly young seals and seals that are injured or ill. When the seals are completely healthy and are able to survive in nature, they are released.

But A Seal is more than just a seal sanctuary!

At A Seal, we tell you everything about the area the seals live in. Our center is right on the Haringvliet and next to the Haringvlietsluizen. We regularly have different exhibitions with themes about nature and the environment.

DIRECTIONS: Follow the signs for Stellendam Havens and Haringvlietsluizen on the N57 and take the Haringvlietsluizen exit. Then follow the signs for Haringvlietsluizen and you will automatically arrive at A Seal!

Disabled visitors
Our visitor centre and outdoor facilities are accessible to disabled visitors. There are parking spaces for disabled persons close to the entrance and a disabled toilet is available in the restaurant.

Dogs
For reasons of hygiene and the risk of infection, dogs are not allowed at A Seal. This also applies to service and guide dogs. Dogs can become very ill from seals and also the other way around, and we want to avoid that.
