Found a seal?

You may encounter a seal in distress at any time. But what exactly should you do?

1. For everyone’s safety, give the seal plenty of space, at least 30 metres. If you find that difficult to estimate, it’s about the distance of two city buses.
2. Are you walking your dog? Keep it on a leash. A seal bite can also be dangerous for your dog.
3. Then contact 144. They will put you in touch with A Seal.

If the seal actually needs help, A Seal will send a seal watcher. The seal watcher may first contact you by telephone to confirm the location.
